Welcome to our Centennial Season.

Alumnae Theatre is celebrating 100 years of continuous production with its 2017/18 season. We have been entertaining Torontonians with topical, thought-provoking and adventurous theatre for a century, making us the longest running theatre company in the city. We're also the oldest women-run theatre company in North America. We wouldn't be here today without our visionary founders and talented predeccessors, so we're honouring them this season with an all-women and all-Canadian program that promises to be sensational. Come along for the ride. The curtain is rising on our second century.

Our history includes Canadian premieres of Beckett’s Waiting for Godot, Ionesco’s The Lesson, Pinter’s The Caretaker and Vaclav Havel’s Largo Desolato. We've also featured world premieres including Carol Shields' Thirteen Hands -- which is being reprised this season.

Toronto Mayor John Tory has proclaimed October 20, 2017: 100th Season of Alumnae Theatre Company Day.

Omission is coming to the mainstage January 19

An edge-of-your-seat thriller written by emerging playwright Alice Abracen, Omission makes its world première exactly 100 years after Alumnae’s very first show.
