Winner of the 1993 Chalmers Award for Outstanding Canadian Play. Inspired by Shakespeare's Richard III. As King Edward lies on his deathbed, his younger brother Richard plots to take the throne. The 'queens' - six women of rival royal families - use lies, innuendo and rumour as they battle to ally themselves to the new monarch.
